Do you ever feel like you are at a loss for what to feed your baby? Me too! I feel like I have been giving my son the same snack foods, and I want to diversify the nutrients he is getting. Plus I want him to keep trying new things so he doesn’t become a picky eater! I personally love homemade baby snacks more than store bought (though I do feel moderation is key). Well, I happen to be fortunate enough to have a sister in law who is a culinary genius! My God Daughter is 4 months younger than my son, so we have been travelling through this motherhood journey together. Learning and growing from one another! It truly has been amazing.

Anyhow, my sister in law always seems to have new and exciting homemade baby snacks for my God Daughter. My God Daughter just gobbles everything up! I asked her to share her recipes with me, because if I am looking for new things, I am sure you are too! Enjoy these 7 homemade baby snack recipes. I am running out to the store to stock up on all these ingredients!

Quick Oatmeal Packed with Protein and Fiber

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1 mashed or small cubed apple
  • 1 mashed or small cubed bananas
  • 1/2 cup of grass fed whole milk plain yogurt

Directions:

  • Mix everything and cook at low temperature on your stove top until mixture begins to combine (5-10minutes)
  • Try combining cooked oatmeal into little jars and feeding them to your baby at room temperature. Such an easy homemade baby snack!

Beets/Banana Muffins

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole beet, cooked and mashed (Tip to cook beet: bring a large pot to boil, peel and dice beet, add to boiling water and bring back to boil, reduce heat to simmer for 20 minutes, remove from heat and let cool)
  • 1 whole banana mashed
  • 2 cup of oat flour (or your flour of choice)
  • 2 whole eggs
  • A splash of grass fed whole milk plain yogurt

Directions:

  • Mix all ingredients well, and pour mixture into cupcake/muffin tray.
  • Cook at 350 for about 22-25 minutes or until the mixture is compact.
  • Tip: Make in bulk and store in your freezer for a homemade baby snack you can have on hand always!

Baby Quiche Filled with Healthy Fats

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole zucchini
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/4 cup of organic feta cheese
  • 1 cup of oat flour (or your flour of choice)
  • 1 tablespoon of organic coconut oil

Directions:

  • Use a cheese grater to grate your zucchini
  • Mix all ingredients well and pour into muffin/cupcake tray (makes about 12 quiche)
  • Bake at 350 for about 15 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3 strawberries
  • 1 banana

  • Combine all ingredients and mix well
  • Pour into muffin/cupcake tray

Chia Pudding

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of grass fed organic yogurt
  • A handful of berries or favorite fruit
  • 1 tea spoon of chia Seeds

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients in large bowl (mash berries to spread throughout mixture)
  • Pour into individual jars for easy feeding
  • Leave overnight and enjoy the next day!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of oat flour (or your flour of choice)
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)

Directions:

  • In a large bowl, mix all ingredients well
  • Cook on a skillet until pancakes are golden brown (60-90 seconds per side on medium heat)
